SHANGHAI, Mar 1 (SMM) – Las Bambas copper mine suspended the production of molybdenum concentrate on February 1 due to the unavailability of auxiliary materials, but its production of copper concentrates was normal. On February 10, the supply of auxiliary materials resumed after land transportation blockage was lifted. Glencore’s Antapaccay copper mine was also hit by political protesters, forcing it to halt its production for 11 days on January 20, but it has resumed production. Even though the previous land transportation blockage has been cleared, Antapaccay copper mine is unable to ship ore through Matarani port for the time being.
