Operating Rate of Zinc Oxide Enterprises Fell in January

SHANGHAI, Feb 14 (SMM) - The average operating rate of zinc oxide enterprises in SMM’s old survey sample was 19.26% in January, down 16.93 percentage points month on month and 15.22 percentage point year on year. The average operating rate in SMM’s new sample was 26.1% in January, a drop of 18.8 percentage points MoM. The overall operating rates at zinc oxide enterprises in the sample fell on the month in December. According to the new sample, the average operating rate of large enterprises with an annual capacity of ≥20,000 mt was 26.3%, a drop of 19.17 percentage points MoM; the average operating rate of medium-sized enterprises with an annual capacity of 10,000-20,000 mt was 25.66%, a decrease of 21.11 percentage points; the average operating rate of small enterprises with a capacity of less than 10,000 mt was 26.04%, a decrease of 11.98 percentage points.
