SHANGHAI, Feb 8 (SMM) - On February 8, spot discounts of copper cathode in north China were -460-60 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2302 copper. The average discount stood at 260 yuan/mt, up 10 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The traded price was 67,720-68,270 yuan/mt, and the average price was 67,995 yuan/mt, up 360 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Copper prices bounced back, and the downstream consumption continues to improve, so cargo holders can slightly raise their prices. Recently, inventory in north China has dropped as the smelters in the north continue to ship goods to east China near the delivery of SHFE 2302 copper, which is also conducive to the rebound of premiums.
