Japan Follows the Europe and the United States to Subside Local Semiconductor Industry

In order to support Japan's local semiconductor industry and ensure the safety of the domestic semiconductor industry chain, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced that it has decided to adopt new support measures to encourage more key semiconductor projects to land in Japan. Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has decided to adopt new support measures and invest nearly 370 billion yen in subsidies to ensure a stable supply of semiconductors for electric vehicles (EV) and other applications. One of the conditions is continuous local production in Japan for at least 10 years.
