On November 29th, Dongyang plans to set up a 6 billion yuan low-carbon high-end battery aluminum foil project in Yidu, which is scheduled to start in January next year.
It is reported that the signed low-carbon high-end battery aluminum foil project, covering an area of 1200 mu, will build an annual output of 200000 tons of low-carbon high-end battery aluminum foil project, with an estimated output value of 8 billion yuan and tax revenue of 500 million yuan.
Data show that Dongyang (600673), formerly known as Dongyang Guangke, belongs to Dongyang Group, and its main business includes new electronic materials, alloy materials and chemical products. In 2018, it established a joint venture with UACJ, the largest aluminum foil manufacturer in Japan, to enter the field of lithium battery aluminum foil.
It is reported that Dongyang has been rooted in Yichang for 20 years, and the amount of investment in Yichang has gone from 128 million yuan to more than 22 billion yuan, and the industrial structure has also realized the development pattern of electronic materials, biomedicine, and health care industries going hand in hand.
After the aluminum foil project is completed and put into production, it is expected to break the monopoly of foreign enterprises on the high-end market and become the production base of low-carbon high-end battery aluminum foil with the largest scale and the highest level of technology in China.
At present, Dongyang has built a large-scale industrialization base dominated by Shaoguan in Guangdong, supplemented by Yichang in Hubei, Wulanchabu in Inner Mongolia and Zunyi in Guizhou. And has established from high purity aluminum, electronic aluminum foil, corrosion into foil, to aluminum electrolytic capacitor complete industry chain, but also the layout of lithium battery cathode materials.
Battery aluminum foil is the key current collector material of lithium battery cathode material, and its main function is to collect the current produced by the battery active material and output the current. According to the data, China shipped 99190 tons of lithium battery aluminum foil in 2020, an increase of 19 per cent over the same period last year, and shipments are expected to reach 246960 tons in 2021, an increase of 149 per cent. Lithium battery aluminum foil benefits from the explosive growth of downstream electric vehicles and energy storage market, and will continue to maintain rapid growth in the next five years.
