Inventories of aluminium billet in China increased this week due to increased arrivals.

SHANGHAI, Dec 3 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China increased this week due to increased arrivals.

SMM data showed that aluminium billet stocks across the five major consumption areas — Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang — in China built up 3,700 mt from a week ago to 72,700 mt as of Thursday December 3.

Inventories in Foshan, Wuxi, and Nanchang started to rise week on week, while stocks in Huzhou and Changzhou both fell 1,000 mt. Stocks in Wuxi rose the most by 3,400 mt.
