SHANGHAI, Nov 6 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces averaged 74.59% in the week ended November 6, unchanged from the previous week.
End-user consumption held largely unchanged this week, with moderate orders from automakers and e-bike manufacturers and diverged demand from northern and southern distributors. As lead prices hovered at low levels, distributors mostly restocked on demand, while battery makers kept stable production. Meanwhile, most of the producers of energy-storage batteries operated at full capacity as demand from overseas and the domestic infrastructure sector improved.
