SMM7 March 24: the China Antimony Price Council and the China Bismuth Price Council were established in November last year. They are the first small metal price councils established after the SMM lead and zinc and other large metal price councils. It is composed of the main leaders of the backbone enterprises in China's antimony and bismuth industry chain, which is used as a high-end platform for exchange and discussion in the industry and win-win cooperation. The responsibility of the council is to work with Nonferrous Network to formulate and revise the spot price reporting standards for antimony and bismuth industry, to organize and cooperate with SMM to implement and supervise, and to participate in industry data statistics, collection and analysis, and to help judge and guide the reporting of antimony spot prices on Nonferrous Network.
This Council adopts a democratic and centralized system, and major issues, including the organizational structure and the revision and decision-making of spot price reporting standards, must be discussed collectively and decided by vote in accordance with the principle that the minority is subordinate to the majority. The purpose of this association is to unite the core groups of the antimony industry, correctly and reasonably guide the price direction of the antimony market, ensure fair competition in the antimony and bismuth industries, and promote the orderly development of the antimony industry.
At the 15th lead and Zinc Summit in 2020, SMM held the awarding ceremony of the Antimony and Bismuth Price Council and presented honorary trophies to the members of the first Antimony and Bismuth Price Council, thanking them for their contribution to China's pricing power.
