Primary aluminium inventories edged down 4,000 mt over holiday

SHANGHAI, Jun 29 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium ingots in China extended their declines during the past three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, albeit at a slower pace.

SMM data showed that social inventories of primary aluminium ingots across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, decreased 4,000 mt from last Wednesday June 24 to 718,000 mt as of Monday June 29.

The stocks shrank 32,000 mt week on week to 722,000 mt as of June 24.
