SHANGHAI, Sep. 5 (SMM) - Chalco’s Dongnan Company commenced work of its 400,000 tonne per year copper smelting project worth 5 billion yuan in Ningde City, Fujian Province September 2, local paper reports.
Meanwhile, construction of a copper plate/sheet, strip and foil project was also started, which produces 85,000 tonne per year precise plate/sheet and strip.
The project is an important project for strategic cooperation between Fujian government and Chalco, which will help push supply-side reform and development of Ningde’s metallurgy new material industry.
