SHANGHAI, May 18 (SMM) – SHFE 1607 zinc opened at RMB 15,115/mt last evening, and closed at RMB 15,140/mt, up RMB 15/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1607 zinc were 164,000, and positions decreased 722 to 192,000.
SHFE 1607 zinc hovered around RMB 15,150/mt after opening, and dipped to RMB 14955/mt later the day, hovering around RMB 15,000/mt in the afternoon. Trading volumes of SHFE 1607 zinc surged 52,000 to 379,000, and positions decreased 18,000 to 175,000. The market is awaiting Fed’s meeting minutes.
