SHANGHAI, Nov. 12 (SMM) –SHFE 1601 aluminum opened at RMB 10,070/mt on Thursday. The contract dipped to RMB 10,065/mt in morning session due to exit of longs, but bounced back to RMB 10,180/mt in the afternoon as shorts exited. Finally, the most active contract ended up RMB 30/mt or 0.3% at RMB 10,130/mt. Trading volumes were down 242,000 lots to 207,000 lots, and positions were down 16,256 to 273,732. Both longs and shorts were cautious at RMB 10,000/mt mark.
