SHFE 1507 Lead Slips RMB 90/mt (May 8, 2015)

SHFE 1507 lead, the most-traded contract, started Wednesday evening session at RMB 13,840/mt and then lurched down to close at RMB 13,640/mt, falling RMB 275/mt.

SHANGHAI, May 8 (SMM) – The most-traded July lead contract on Shanghai Futures Exchange dropped RMB 180/mt to RMB 13,470/mt Thursday night.

SHFE 1507 lead moved higher to RMB 13,580/mt Friday on expectation for pro-growth measures and ended the day at RMB 13,560/mt, falling RMB 90/mt, or 0.66%. Trading volumes were down 4,830 to 8,424 lots whereas positions climbed 20 to 15,468.

SHFE 1507 lead is expected to trade higher as the contract closed above the 20-day moving average.
