Selenium Prices Plunge Amid Summer Steel Mill Maintenance and Inventory Sell-Offs

Selenium prices have declined notably of late. On one hand, steel mills have entered summer maintenance and cut production, leading to lower electrolytic manganese orders, while electrolytic manganese producers had previously built up substantial inventories. On the other hand, some companies began offloading material at low prices, triggering a chain reaction of sell-offs by other producers, causing selenium prices to fall sharply.
