[Molybdenum Express] SMM, July 7: Ansteel has launched a ferro-molybdenum tender for 290 mt (including 120 mt for Bayuquan and 170 mt for its headquarters), with the negotiation starting at 9:00 am on July 9, 2026, and the delivery date set for August 10, 2026.

A steel mill in Shandong’s latest ferro-molybdenum tender price was 323,900 yuan/mt (cash) for 30 mt.

Sichuan Deyang Erzhong has launched a ferro-molybdenum tender for 30 mt, with the bid closing at 11:30 am on July 8, 2026, and the delivery date set for August 15, 2026.

Vietnam’s Formosa Ha Tinh Steel cut domestic HRC prices for August-September deliveries by around USD 40/tonne from the previous month, with finished SAE1006 HRC at about USD 545/tonne in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam’s HRC market remains pressured by weak demand and cheaper Southeast Asian imports, while buyers stay cautious. Hoa Phat also reduced August-delivery HRC offers by about USD 34/tonne, and prices may remain under pressure without a clear recovery in manufacturing and construction demand."

[SMM Steel] India Alang Ship-Breaking Scrap Rises on Interstate Demand

Ship-breaking melting scrap in Alang, Gujarat, rose to USD 350/tonne EXW, supported by heavy rainfall and buying interest from Rajasthan and Punjab for lower-priced material. However, weak downstream steel demand kept mills cautious, with procurement largely need-based. In northern India’s Mandi Gobindgarh, HMS 80:20 scrap fell to around USD 357/tonne DAP, indicating broader regional scrap sentiment remained under pressure.
