[SMM PV] Beijing’s 2026 First Batch PV Project Application Closes Today, BIPV and New-Type Modules Eligible for Up to 30% Investment Subsidy

Samvardhana Motherson, through its energy arm Motherson New Energy, has commissioned its first ground-mounted captive solar project in Uttar Pradesh. The 15MW facility in Mahoba will supply renewable electricity to multiple Motherson manufacturing plants in the state and is expected to generate around 23.4GWh of clean power annually, reducing about 17,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.

Radiance Renewables has commissioned an 87MW solar project at Korwar in Karnataka. The project is expected to generate around 3.48 million MWh of clean electricity over its lifetime and avoid about 2.96 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions. It is equipped with CEA-compliant reactive power compensation systems and is designed for future BESS integration. Waaree Renewable Technologies has secured an EPC contract for a 450MW DC/300MW AC ground-mounted solar project from its wholly owned subsidiary Sunsational Power Private Limited. The contract also includes two years of operation and maintenance services, with completion planned during FY2026-27.
