[SMM New Energy] According to SNE Research data released on January 28, global lithium battery shipments for energy storage systems reached 550 GWh in 2025, up 79% YoY.

Regionally, China was the largest market, with a volume of 352 GWh, accounting for 64% of the global total and a YoY growth rate of 117%. North America ranked second with 88 GWh, representing a 16% share.

In terms of corporate competition, the top seven companies in global shipments were all Chinese enterprises. CATL led with a 30% market share, followed by Hithium and EVE in second and third place, respectively. These seven companies together held a combined market share of 83.3%. South Korea's Samsung SDI and LG Energy Solution together accounted for approximately 4%.
