Tsingshan Announced February High Chrome Steel Tender, Flat MoM, Market Sentiment Improved [SMM Daily Review]

On January 21, the price of high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia was 7,100-7,300 yuan/mt (50% metal content), unchanged from the previous trading day. Tsingshan Group announced its February high-carbon ferrochrome tender price, flat MoM, at 6,995 yuan/mt (50% metal content). Slightly higher than earlier market expectations, although trading has mostly concluded as the Chinese New Year holiday approaches, market sentiment has strengthened. Due to increased transportation costs before the holiday and the completion of purchases, prices are expected to show little change before the holiday.
