The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price stood at 75,478 yuan/mt, up 54 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Battery-grade lithium carbonate was quoted at 74,700-76,300 yuan/mt, with an average price of 75,500 yuan/mt, up 50 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Industrial-grade lithium carbonate was quoted at 71,800-72,800 yuan/mt, with an average price of 72,300 yuan/mt, up 50 yuan/mt from the previous working day.

Demand side, pre-holiday restocking is nearing its end, and transaction activity has slightly weakened. Supply side, January supply is expected to decrease, and there is a firm stance on long-term contract discounts and spot quotes for 2025. As a result, downstream material plants are primarily transacting with traders. Considering the dual reduction trend in supply and demand for January, along with the market's circulating inventory levels, lithium carbonate spot prices are expected to exhibit sideways movement.
