SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price was 78,648 yuan/mt, down 233 yuan/mt from the previous working day; battery-grade lithium carbonate was 77,600-80,200 yuan/mt, with an average price of 78,900 yuan/mt, down 200 yuan/mt from the previous working day; industrial-grade lithium carbonate was 75,150-76,150 yuan/mt, with an average price of 75,650 yuan/mt, down 200 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Currently, downstream material plants expect reduced production schedules and year-end destocking, leading to weakened purchasing sentiment and a cautious wait-and-see attitude. Upstream lithium chemical smelters still have a strong sentiment to stand firm on quotes, resulting in a significant psychological price expectation gap between upstream and downstream.
