SMM News Flash: ANTAM's Q3 2024 Production Report Shows Decline in Ferronickel, Rise in Nickel Ore

【SMM News Flash】The production report for the third quarter of 2024 released by Indonesia's state-owned nickel company, PT Aneka Tambang (ANTAM), revealed that the company's ferronickel production amounted to 5,075 metal tonnes during the quarter, marking a decrease of 5.67% quarter-on-quarter and 3.33% year-on-year. Meanwhile, nickel ore production reached 3.12 million wet tonnes, representing an increase of 13.71% quarter-on-quarter but a decline of 16.58% year-on-year.

[SMM Nickel Intermediate Products Daily Review] June 11 MHP, High-Grade Nickel Matte Nickel Prices, Cobalt Prices Decline

As of now, the FOB price of Indonesian MHP nickel stands at $16,743/mt Ni, and the FOB price of Indonesian MHP cobalt is $51,343/mt Co. The MHP payables (against the SMM battery-grade nickel sulphate index) range from 83.5-85, and the cobalt payable indicator for MHP (against SMM refined cobalt, Rotterdam warehouse) is 95. The FOB price of Indonesian high-grade nickel matte is $16,831/mt Ni.
