Today, the coking coal market has seen weak transactions, as coking plants continue to purchase on demand due to continued cautious outlook on end steel consumption. Some coal types have seen improvements in transactions, but main coking coal and other backbone coal types continue to show weak transactions. Due to sustained losses in coking plants, short-term demand for coking coal is not expected to see significant improvement, and coke prices will continue to operate weakly.
