The Hunan Fuqiang Fluorine-containing New Material Project Officially Launched

On the morning of February 19, the launching ceremony of the Hunan Fuqiang Fluorine-containing New Material Project was held in Linxiang City, as the first major project to commence construction in Yueyang in 2024. The project, which was signed on April 4, 2023, has a total investment of 5 billion yuan and will be built in two phases. The first phase will mainly invest in the construction of facilities for the production of 20,000 tons of dichlorofluoromethane (R22) per year, 10,000 tons of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) per year, and 10,000 tons of tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, as well as supporting public auxiliary projects. The second phase will have the construction of facilities for the production of 10,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate per year, 10,000 tons of PVDF per year, and 10,000 tons of lithium bis(heptafluorobutanesulfonyl)imide.
