China’s aluminum production projected to grow 3.6% in 2023

According to preliminary calculations by SMM, the current domestic operating production capacity of aluminum is approximately 42 million mt. Production in December is expected to be around 3.56 million mt, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%. It is expected that aluminum output will increase by 3.6% in 2023, reaching about 41.5 million mt. In the future, we need to pay close attention to the domestic power supply and demand situation.
