China’s Ministry of Transport Releases National Logistics and Freight Statistics (May 15-21)

The Ministry of Transport announced the smooth operation of national logistics from May 15th to May 21st. National railway freight continued to operate at a high level, with a total of 74.554 million mt of goods transported, a weekly increase of 0.32%; the traffic of trucks on highways across the country was 53.273 million units, a weekly decrease of 0.59%; the cumulative cargo throughput of monitored ports was 244.067 million mt, a weekly increase of 0.03% , completed a container throughput was 5.651 million TEUs, a weekly increase of 2.45%; a total of 108,615 civil aviation flights (including 3,686 cargo flights, 2,337 international cargo flights and 1,349 domestic cargo flights), a weekly increase of 0.01%; Post Express deliveries were 2.686 billion pieces, up 2.6% WoW.
