End of Maintenance and Stabilising Production may Drive up Secondary Lead Output in May

SHANGHAI, May 9 (SMM) - Entering May, the completion of maintenance of Anhui Narada Huabo and stabilising production of Shandong Zhongqing will contribute to a major increase in the supply of secondary lead. In addition, some smelters in Inner Mongolia maintain low output amid the weak market, tight raw material supply and high costs. The output in Hubei has also declined as local smelters have maintenance plans for about 15 days. On the whole, it is expected that the output of secondary refined lead in May will increase about 30,000 mt with the operating rates standing at 56.12%.
