Yunnan To Vigorously Promote New Energy Vehicles And Implement Supporting Policies

SHANGHAI, Apr 26 (SMM) - Yunnan Development and Reform Commission and other six departments issued the notice on Yunnan Province's Implementation Plan for Promoting Green Consumption. The notice pointed out that green transportation will be promoted. Yunnan will vigorously promote new energy vehicles, and implement supporting policies such as exemption from traffic restrictions. Yunnan will continue to promote the construction of green transportation infrastructure, and form a group of green demonstration roads, demonstration stations, demonstration ports, demonstration waterways and demonstration enterprises by 2025. Kunming, Yuxi, Baoshan and Pu'er will become the demonstration regions for green travel in Yunnan. Yunnan will accelerate the replacement of automobile new energy power technology, rationally arrange and build charging and swapping, new energy storage, hydrogenation, LNG and other supporting infrastructure in the public sector according to market demand, and promote charging facilities in communities in an orderly manner. Yunnan will also boost new energy vehicles in rural areas. Yunnan will vigorously promote the electrification of vehicles in the public sector, and moderately increase the application of new energy vehicles in the fields of urban public transport, scenic spots, rental (including online car-hailing), sanitation, urban logistics distribution, postal express delivery, civil aviation airports, and government agencies.
