China to Continue Zero Tariffs on Coal Imports to Support Safe and Stable Domestic Supply

SHANGHAI, Mar 31 (SMM) – Vice Minister of Finance Zhu Zhongming said at the State Council's regular policy briefing on March 31 that at present, there are still many uncertain and unpredictable factors in the energy market.

Taking into account factors such as domestic development needs and changes in supply and demand in the coal market, it was decided to continue to implement zero tariffs on coal imports from April 1 to the end of this year.

This policy will help support the safe and stable supply of domestic coal.
