According to foreign media reports, Li-Cycle said on March 27 that it will build a factory in France to break down batteries from forklift maker Kion Group.
The new French plant, which is expected to open in 2024, will work with similar plants under construction in Germany and Norway to break down lithium batteries used by Kion's forklifts and other heavy machinery, giving Li-Cycle a new source of recyclable batteries outside the automotive consumer market.
