China Implements Automatic Import Licence for Coal Imports that can be Applied for Normally

SHANGHAI, Mar 21 (SMM) - According to reports, despite the trade restrictions on Australian coal exports since the end of 2020, ports and customs departments have been told to allow Australian coal to be shipped into China.  Shu Yuting, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce, said that China implements automatic licensing management for coal imports and coal automatic import licenses can be applied normally. What needs to be emphasised is that China manages foreign trade in accordance with WTO rules and Chinese laws and regulations, and it is inappropriate to misinterpret relevant management methods as restrictive measures.
