Weekly LME and SHFE Lead Price Review (Mar 13-17, 2023)

SHANGHAI, Mar 20 (SMM) – LME lead started last week at $2,069/mt and moved sideways through most of the week before trading at $2,094.5/mt as of CST 15:00 on Friday, an increase of 1.23% on the week.

The SHFE 2304 lead contract opened at 15,155 yuan/mt at the beginning of last week and began to go up from Tuesday, though meeting resistance at the 20-day moving average. The contract fluctuated rangebound in the next two days, but rose sharply again on Friday, closing the week at 15,375 yuan/mt, a weekly gain of 1.38%.
