Shanghai: In-depth Implementation of Expanding Domestic Demand to Restore and Expand Consumption

The "2023 Shanghai Business Situation Briefing" hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce was held. Shen Weihua, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, revealed that in 2023, Shanghai's commercial work will focus on promoting work in four areas. First, it will make greater efforts to implement major national strategic tasks and strive to create a high-level opening-up highland. Second, implementing the in-depth domestic demand expansion to restore and expand consumption. Third, making greater efforts to promote stable scale, optimising structure of foreign trade, and cultivating new momentum for foreign trade development. Fourth, making greater efforts to promote the stable stock and expansion of foreign capital, so that Shanghai will always become a "fertile soil" for foreign investment.
