Domestic Coal Output Grows Steadily as Production Capacity Continues to Increase

The Development and Reform Commission, together with relevant departments and regions, resolutely implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, give full play to the role of the inter-ministerial coordination mechanism for the guarantee of coal, electricity, oil and gas transportation, strengthen overall planning, strengthen bottom-line thinking, and insist on daily dispatch and daily reports. Under the premise of fully promoting capacity expansion and production increase, the coal production capacity is released more rapidly, the output has increased significantly, and the market has operated in a stable and orderly manner, which has effectively guaranteed the stable supply and stable prices of thermal coal during the peak season in winter. According to statistics, from January to November, 2022, the national raw coal output was 4.09 billion mt, an increase of 360 million mt or 9.7% over 2021. Since December, 2022, the daily output of coal has stabled at a relatively high level for a long period of time, and the production and supply capacity of coal continues to increase.
