SHANGHAI, June 8 (SMM) - President Wei Zhejia of TSMC said on the regular shareholder meeting today that the revenue of global semiconductor market (excluding memory) is expected to increase 9% this year. Among them, TSMC's revenue will increase by 29% or more in US dollars. The strong demand for advanced and special manufacturing processes led to the improved proformance. Wei Zhejia said that TSMC also sees the general trend of 5G and high-performance computing-related applications, and there is a strong demand for TSMC's high-performance computing, smart phones, automotive electronics and Internet of Things-related applications.
