Codelco has lost its positions as the world’s largest copper producer recently, which has been replaced by Freeport-McMoRan CopperGold Inc.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 3 (SMM) - Codelco has lost its positions as the world’s largest copper producer recently, which has been replaced by Freeport-McMoRan CopperGold Inc.

Anhui Tongguan Sets Target for Lithium Battery Foil Project Commissioning 2017-2018

Codelco expects its copper production to fall 1-2% on a yearly basis in Q2 2017. Its copper output in the same period of last year was over 400,000 tonnes.

World Largest Copper Clad Laminates Supplier Hikes Price Further

Its copper output decreased 11% on a yearly basis in Q1 2017 because of lower grade.
