SHANGHAI, Sept. 17 (SMM) - Seyang Zinc produced 650 tonnes of zinc oxide in August, down 18.7% from July’s 800 tonnes, sina.com reports.
The company, with zinc oxide capacity of 25,000 tpy, cut its zinc oxide output in August due to weak demand, low prices and thin profit, and left its production target of the product unchanged for September. It planned to produce 12,000 tonnes of zinc oxide in 2015, up slightly from 10,500 tonnes last year. Zinc oxide output totaled 6,050 tonnes in the first eight of the year.
