[Pb Battery]Operating Rate at Lead-acid Battery Markers Drops in June

SHANGHAI, Jul. 14 (SMM) – Operating rate at 53 large and mid-sized lead-acid battery producers was 68.33% in June, down 3.34 percentage points MoM and 5.11 percentage points YoY, SMM survey shows.

Anemic demand and fierce competition among leading battery markers were behind the drops.

Operating rate at 9 backup battery producers grew 0.47 percentage points MoM to 71.30%. However, the rate at 17 ignition battery makers was down 3.07 percentage points MoM to 69.12% and down 4.88 percentage points to 66.72% at 27 motive battery makers.
