SHANGHAI, Apr. 2 (SMM) – SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices opened at RMB 92,870/mt Wednesday evening, then rose with LME nickel prices, touching as high as RMB 94,600/mt, and closed at RMB 94,400/mt. Trading volumes broke through 100,000 to 104,826 lots, and total positions increased 6,010 to 76,970 lots.
SHFE 1507 nickel contract prices opened at RMB 94,300/mt on Thursday, then edged up and closed at 96,160/mt. A rising US dollar index helped base metals prices to stabilize. Longing increased as SHFE zinc prices leveled off. Trading volumes decreased 6,804 to 96,160 lots, and total positions grew 3,754 to 80,724 lots.
