China's Auto Exports Surge 68.7% in May, NEV Exports Double

【SMM News】Learned from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), in May, China's automobile exports continued their rapid growth trend. The latest data shows that in May, China's automobile export volume reached 930,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 68.7%, maintaining a level above 900,000 units for two consecutive months. Among these, new energy vehicle (NEV) exports saw a relatively high growth rate, with exports reaching 446,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times.

China's Auto Sales Reach 2.63M in May, NEV Growth Continues

【SMM News】 In May, China's automobile production and sales reached 2.616 million and 2.629 million units respectively, showing month-on-month growth but a slight year-on-year decline, with the decline narrowing further. Overall, in the first five months, total automobile production and sales reached 12.235 million and 12.207 million units respectively. Among these, the production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached 5.841 million and 5.802 million units, representing year-on-year growth of 2.5% and 3.5% respectively.
