Vietnam Tightens Oversight on Small and Medium-sized Lead Recycling Plants

Most recently, the Vietnamese government and law enforcement authorities have been conducting inspections and strict monitoring of lead recycling plants, facilities considered to have a high risk of pollution, to ensure compliance with the Environmental Protection Law. The investigations focus on waste treatment, safety distances, and technical processes. Small and medium-sized recycled lead factories are under the most pressure this time, as the government tends to target more unsystematic and loosely regulated operations.

Jinhui Mining Reports Q1 2026 Zinc, Lead, and Silver Production Increase

On April 14, Jinhui Mining disclosed its Q1 2026 report. The report showed that in Q1, its zinc concentrates production totaled 17,600 mt in metal content, up 26.43% YoY, lead concentrates production totaled 5,300 mt in metal content, up 13.89% YoY, and by-product silver production totaled 6,899 kg, up 7.87% YoY.
