A Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Cathode Material Repair Project Launched in Nanjing
Recently, the People's Government of Lishui District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, published a public notice regarding the approval of the environmental impact assessment document for the "Annual Treatment of 15,000 Tons of Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Cathode Material Repair R&D and Production Base Project of a Company in Jiangsu." The project has a total investment of 500 million yuan and is located in Lishui Economic Development Zone. The main construction content includes: acquiring production equipment and establishing a new R&D and production base for repairing lithium iron phosphate battery cathode materials. Upon completion, the project will have the capacity to process 15,000 tons/year of lithium iron phosphate battery cathode material repair production line.

An Additional 7,000-Ton Lithium Battery Electrode Material Recycling Project Lands in Jiangxi
Recently, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, published a approval public notice for the environmental impact report of the "Expansion Project for Lithium Iron Phosphate Cathode Material Recovery Production Line and New Sodium Battery Cathode Material Production Line Project." A company in Jiangxi plans to invest 210 million yuan to add one sodium battery cathode material production line, R&D laboratories, and related supporting facilities within its existing plant area, with an annual output of 200 t/a of sodium battery cathode material (pyrophosphate iron sodium). Simultaneously, all production equipment of the existing project (Lithium Battery Electrode Material Recycling Project) will be upgraded, increasing the lithium battery electrode material recovery capacity from 3,000 t/a to 10,000 t/a.

A 10,000-Ton Level Retired Power Battery Recycling and Disposal Project Arrives in Hefei
Recently, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Hefei City, Anhui Province, released the first public notice for the environmental impact assessment of the "Retired Power Battery Cascading Utilization Comprehensive Industry Base Construction Project of a Company in Hefei." The project has a total investment of 100 million yuan and is located in Xinzhan District, Hefei City, Anhui Province. It will procure equipment such as laser welders, CNC machine tools, aging testers, charging cabinets, grading cabinets, and air compressors. Upon completion, the project will be capable of recycling and disposing of 10,000 tons of retired power batteries annually.

A 25,000-Ton Lithium Battery Recycling Project Launched in Zhejiang
Recently, the People's Government of Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, officially released the environmental impact assessment information public notice for the "New Energy Lithium Battery Resource Optimization Cascading and Regenerative Utilization 25,000-Ton Project of a Company in Zhejiang." The project has a designed annual processing capacity of 25,000 tons, including crushing and recovering 20,000 tons of waste lithium batteries, and crushing and screening 5,000 tons of waste battery electrode pieces.

A Jiangxi Company Announces Expansion of Recycling Production Line
On February 3rd, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of Fuzhou City released a approval public notice for the environmental impact report of the "Expansion Project for Lithium Iron Phosphate Cathode Material Recovery Production Line and New Sodium Battery Cathode Material Production Line Project." The public notice document indicates that a materials company plans to invest 210 million yuan to implement the project within its existing plant area in Houfa Industrial Park, Le'an County, Fuzhou City. The project involves comprehensive equipment updates and replacements for the existing lithium battery electrode material recovery line, significantly increasing the recovery capacity from the current 3,000 tons/year to 10,000 tons/year.

Environmental Impact Assessment Public Notice for 60,000 Tons/Year Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride Project in Guizhou
On February 10th, a company in Guizhou issued a pre-approval public notice for the environmental impact report of its "Fluorine-Aluminum Resource Comprehensive Utilization Project in Wuchuan Autonomous County." The project details are as follows: construction scale of 80,000 t/a anhydrous aluminum fluoride, 60,000 t/a anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, and 200,000 t/a pyrite-based sulfuric acid.

India to build a six-month strategic stockpile of lithium, cobalt and rare earths as demand rises
Amid sustained demand growth, India plans to build a strategic reserve of critical minerals including lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper and rare earths. The stockpile will be sized to cover six months of domestic consumption, aiming to guard against risks of global supply disruptions and sharp raw material price volatility. Led by India’s Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Heavy Industries, the reserve covers key raw materials essential for new energy vehicles, energy storage and the electronics sector, fields where India currently relies heavily on imports. At present, the United States, China, South Korea and other countries have already established strategic reserve systems for critical minerals.
