Weekly operating rate of SMM secondary lead smelters (June 28-July 3, 2025) [SMM Lead Weekly Review]

The weekly operating rate of secondary lead in four provinces tracked by SMM from June 28, 2025 to July 3, 2025 was 34.76%, an increase of 0.14 percentage points WoW. This week, the operating rates in Anhui and Jiangsu provinces were basically flat WoW, while the operating rate in Henan province rose due to production increases at individual smelters. The operating rate in Anhui province changed little this week, but it is expected to rise next week due to the resumption of production at a certain smelter. Recently, the downstream demand for lead ingot purchases has improved, and lead prices have risen. It is expected that the operating rate of secondary lead will maintain an upward trend next week.
