[Xi Jinping: The Steel Industry Is a Key Basic Industry of Our Country, and the Real Economy Is the Foundation of the National Economy] On the afternoon of the 23rd, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited the Third Cold Rolling Plant of the Cold Rolling Mill at Bensteel Group in Benxi City, Liaoning Province. At the centralized control center, he learned about the operation of the centralized intelligent control system, and in the workshop, he gained insights into the cold rolling process, technological innovations, and product performance. He also warmly greeted model workers, young technical experts, and representatives of frontline employees. Xi Jinping stated that Bensteel is one of our country's long-established enterprises. Through the restructuring of Bensteel with Ansteel, the modern corporate system has been improved, and industrial transformation and upgrading have been promoted, giving the company a new lease on life. The steel industry is a key basic industry of our country, and the real economy is the foundation of the national economy.
