[SMM Daily Review on EMM: EMM Market Remains Consolidated, Transactions Sluggish] The average spot price of EMM in major production areas stood at 12,400-12,600 yuan/mt, flat MoM; FOB average price was $1,700-1,740/mt, also flat MoM. Supply side, most EMM plants held back from selling, with a strong tendency to withhold goods, and market quotations remained high. Demand side, downstream demand for EMM was weak, leading to sluggish transactions in the EMM market. On the export side, overseas inquiries were sparse, and exporters were mostly on holiday. The market showed relatively small changes before the Chinese New Year.

January 23 News: The average spot price of EMM in major production areas was 12,400-12,600 yuan/mt, flat MoM; FOB average price was $1,700-1,740/mt, also flat MoM. Demand side, downstream buyers showed weak purchasing interest in EMM, leading to sluggish market transactions.
