SMM Primary Lead Smelter Weekly Operating Rate (January 4, 2025 - January 10, 2025) [SMM Weekly Review]

According to a survey by SMM, the operating rate of primary lead smelters this week (January 4–10, 2025) was 58.72%, a WoW increase of 0.53 percentage points.

This week, smelters in Henan maintained stable production, with refined lead supply remaining sufficient, and the operating rate was unchanged from last week. In Hunan, the primary lead smelter that resumed production last week slightly increased production this week, while other smelters under maintenance have no plans to resume operations, keeping production stable. In Yunnan, a large-to-medium-sized smelter is not expected to resume full production within January, while other smelters maintained stable production. Among the three provinces outside the survey scope, a smelter in Guangxi saw a slight decline in primary lead production in January 2025; a smelter in Jiangxi experienced a slight production cut, which remains under observation; and a smelter in Guangdong is expected to complete routine maintenance and resume production next week.
