In November 2024, China imported a total of 393,800 mt of sheets & plates, down 12.14% MoM and 22.89% YoY. From January to November 2024, China imported a total of 5.17 million mt of sheets & plates, down 13.25% YoY.
In November, China exported a total of 5.9988 million mt of sheets & plates, down 22.99% MoM and up 9.91% YoY. From January to November 2024, China exported a total of 68.8471 million mt of steel, up 38.83% YoY. Affected by the earlier decline in China's export price advantage, the export volumes of several sheet & plate categories, including HRC, medium-thickness plates, and coated sheets (strips), showed a MoM decrease in November.
