Steel Shipments Rise 21% MoM at SMM's National Ports in Late November 2024

The total shipments of steel from SMM's national ports were 7.5463 million mt, up 1.2887 million mt MoM, an increase of 21%. Among them, the total shipments from the six major northern ports (Jingtang Port, Caofeidian Port, Bayuquan Port, Tianjin New Port, Huanghua Port, Jinzhou Port) were 2.9699 million mt, up 923,000 mt MoM, accounting for 39% of the total shipments.

The total shipments from the three major ports in east China (Shanghai Port, Zhangjiagang Port, Lanbei Port) were 791,700 mt, up 47,100 mt MoM, accounting for 10% of the total shipments. The total shipments from the two major ports in south China (Zhanjiang Port, Fangchenggang Port) were 409,200 mt, down 178,500 mt MoM, accounting for 5% of the total shipments.
