FAW-Volkswagen's new Golf family hits market

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 30, FAW-Volkswagen put the all-new Golf family onto market, offering four trim levels priced between 129,900 yuan and 209,900 yuan.

The all-new Golf model, while preserving its classic DNA, incorporates digital design concepts. Its sleek and sharp exterior lines exude a distinctive youthful vitality. The model offers three distinct styling options and eight exclusive body color schemes. Its aerodynamic, streamlined body design not only enhances the vehicle's dynamic aesthetics but also improves its performance, making the overall vehicle appear more agile. The new model is equipped with IQ.LIGHT HD matrix headlights and Surface LED 2.0 technology, enabling personalized animation effects. Notably, the GTI variant features a unique high-gloss black rear spoiler, and comes equipped with 18-inch wheels, enhancing its sporty appearance.

Inside, the all-new Golf introduces "three screens", which include a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 12.9-inch central touchscreen, and a W-HUD (Windshield Head-Up Display). It comes standard with the latest generation of connected vehicle system, integrating intelligent vehicle control, entertainment, navigation, and voice command functions.

Additionally, the all-new Golf model is powered by iFlytek's AI voice system, supporting recognition of multiple dialects, and enabling continuous conversations for up to 20 seconds with an accuracy rate of over 95%. The Avatar intelligent virtual assistant adds a personal touch to the driving experience.

Under the hood, the new model is powered by the latest 1.5T Evo2 engine with a thermal efficiency of 38%, delivering a maximum output of 118kW and peak torque of 250Nm, offering a balance of power and fuel efficiency. Notably, the GTI variant carries the EA888 engine, which can produce a maximum output of 162kW and peak torque of 350Nm.

As for intelligent driving facilities, the IQ.DRIVE system integrates multiple features to achieve Level 2+ advanced driver assistance functions, and supports IPA (intelligent parking assist) system. The V2X (vehicle-to-everything) warning system can monitor the vehicle's surroundings within a 200-meter radius and displays warning information on the instrument panel and HUD. The HD DVR (digital video recorder) supports automatic photo and video capture, ensuring important footage is saved during critical moments.

Safety is also a key highlight of the new Golf, which comes equipped with nine airbags and a rollover protection system to provide comprehensive protection for occupants. The seats feature anti-pinch protection to prevent injury during seat adjustments. The Emergency Assist 3.0 system can continuously monitor the driver's condition and intervenes automatically with safety measures in the event of a risk, while the E-Call (emergency call) system ensures prompt rescue support if needed. The DWA (anti-theft alarm) system provides round-the-clock security monitoring, effectively preventing unauthorized access.
