[SMM Aluminum Spot Market Midday Review: SHFE Aluminum Fluctuated Downward, Spot Trades in Henan and Shanghai Were Sluggish Today]
According to the latest inventory data from SMM, as of Thursday this week, the social inventory of domestic aluminum ingots was 539,000 mt, down 26,000 mt compared to last Thursday. Inventory in Wuxi decreased significantly, down 22,000 mt to around 158,000 mt compared to last Thursday. In Gongyi, some rail shipments arrived over the weekend, increasing by approximately 12,000 mt compared to last Thursday. From the outflow data, aluminum prices fell continuously last week, stimulating downstream restocking, and the weekly outflows from warehouses of domestic aluminum ingots increased WoW. Currently, shipments from Xinjiang remain poor, and intermittent arrivals in Gongyi and other regions, as well as fewer arrivals in Wuxi and South China, coupled with futures market adjustments, are expected to maintain a premium trend for SMMA00 spot cargo next week.
