China Becomes First to Surpass 10 Million Annual New Energy Vehicle Production

【Annual Production of New Energy Vehicles in China Surpasses 10 Million Units】According to news from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on November 14, this morning, China's annual production of new energy vehicles surpassed 10 million units for the first time, making it the first country globally to achieve this milestone.

Statistics show that 2013 was the first year that the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China were included in the statistical system, with only 18,000 units produced that year. By 2018, annual production had reached the million-unit mark, and in 2022, it exceeded five million units. Today, the milestone of 10 million units has been surpassed for the first time, marking a 4.3% increase compared to last year's total production of 9.587 million units, with still another month and a half left before the end of the year. Experts predict that this figure could exceed 12 million units by the end of the year.
